Dubai has announced plans for Therme Dubai, which is set to become the world’s tallest well-being resort. The project aligns with the emirate’s Quality of Life Strategy 2033, introduced in May 2024.
The AED 2 billion development will include an interactive park alongside the world’s largest indoor botanical garden.
“In May 2024, Dubai took a major step in advancing community well-being under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with the launch of the Quality of Life Strategy 2033. This ambitious plan seeks to position our city as the world’s best place to live,” stated Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, via X.
Situated in Zabeel Park, the resort is projected to attract 1.7 million visitors annually upon its completion in 2028.
The initiative is part of Dubai’s wider efforts to promote urban biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
“This groundbreaking project underscores our dedication to strengthening urban biodiversity, ensuring environmental sustainability, and delivering enriching experiences for both residents and visitors,” Sheikh Hamdan said.
