Saudi Arabia has spotlighted investment opportunities worth over SAR 50 billion ($13.3 billion) in the Hail region, reinforcing its drive to diversify the national economy. The announcement was made during the Hail Investment Forum 2025, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region.
Organised with the Ministry of Investment as a strategic partner, the forum brought together senior representatives from government agencies, private enterprises, and a broad array of domestic and international investors.
Diverse Investment Opportunities on Display
During the event, Minister of Investment Khalid Al Falih delivered a keynote speech underscoring Hail’s competitive advantages and the government’s commitment to regional development. He noted that Hail, with its rich natural resources, strategic location, and cultural heritage, holds the potential to become a thriving hub for multiple industries.
Al Falih also reiterated the ministry’s ongoing efforts to unlock economic value in underutilized regions. These efforts are in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to drive sustainable growth, create jobs, and enhance private-sector participation.
The forum showcased over 100 investment opportunities, all listed on the official “Invest Saudi” platform. These span a wide range of sectors including:
- Agriculture: Leveraging Hail’s fertile land and climate for agritech, organic farming, and food processing initiatives.
- Tourism: Capitalising on the region’s heritage sites, natural landscapes, and desert tourism experiences.
- Manufacturing: Offering infrastructure and logistics support to attract light and medium industrial investments.
- Sports and Entertainment: Developing sport-centric facilities and events as part of Saudi’s broader lifestyle and wellness agenda.
Hail’s Strategic Role in Saudi’s Economic Transformation
Positioned in the heart of the Kingdom, Hail serves as a geographic and logistical link between the northern and central regions. Its accessibility, workforce potential, and emerging infrastructure place it in a strong position to absorb capital and stimulate private-sector-led development.
The Hail Investment Forum serves as a key milestone in aligning regional potential with national policy frameworks. It also aims to foster dialogue between investors and policymakers to accelerate project execution.
Pathway for Future Growth
The more than SAR 50 billion in opportunities showcased at the forum reflect not only the region’s untapped promise but also the government’s intention to attract long-term capital into non-oil sectors. These investments are expected to boost GDP, enhance economic resilience, and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a premier global investment destination.
The Ministry of Investment continues to invite local and global stakeholders to explore the “Invest Saudi” platform and engage in shaping the future of the Hail region and the broader Saudi economy.
