Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has declared the commencement of the latest Umrah season for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens and residents, including those in the Kingdom, as reported by the state news agency (SPA).
Following the successful conclusion of this year’s Hajj season, individuals from GCC countries now have the opportunity to apply for an Umrah permit using the “Nusuk” or “Tawakkalna” applications.
The Nusuk application facilitates the acquisition of necessary permits for performing Umrah and visiting the Holy Rawdah in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, while Tawakkalna ensures compliance with the stipulated health requirements.
The ministry had recently announced that individuals outside the GCC region will be able to embark on Umrah journeys starting from the beginning of the upcoming Islamic year, expected to fall on either next Tuesday or Wednesday.
The Ministry of Haj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has launched an e-visa system for Muslims planning to perform Umrah, allowing easier access for pilgrims. The new process, facilitated through the Nusuk platform, offers comprehensive services including accommodation, transportation, and multilingual information.
