A Saudi property company and an EV firm supported by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) will incorporate electric vehicle charging infrastructure into developments across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
ROSHN Group and the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company (EVIQ) of Saudi Arabia have agreed to expedite the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country.
As part of the deal, ROSHN and EVIQ will collaborate in evaluating, assessing, and developing direct-current infrastructure solutions for EVs within residential communities and commercial properties developed by ROSHN across the Kingdom.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is a significant achievement in the efforts of ROSHN and EVIQ to encourage the adoption of EVs, contributing to a more sustainable future for the Kingdom.
This agreement marks a new era of accessibility and convenience for the public, aligning with the objectives of Vision 2030 in Saudi Arabia to increase the proportion of electric vehicles on the roads of Riyadh to 30 per cent.
ROSHN Group CEO, David Grover, expressed delight in working with EVIQ, highlighting their commitment to creating a robust EV ecosystem. This collaboration began with ROSHN Front, an iconic destination in Riyadh, hosting EVIQ’s inaugural public EV charging facility.
The expanded collaboration aims to provide EV charging infrastructure across ROSHN’s humanized, integrated communities throughout the Kingdom.
EVIQ CEO, Mohammad Baker Gazzaz, stated that the agreement signifies the alignment and commitment of both companies to the shared objective of enhancing the quality of life for Saudi citizens.
The combination of EVIQ’s advanced EV charging technology and the coverage of ROSHN’s integrated communities will establish a widespread network of high-speed chargers in strategic locations across the kingdom, enhancing the positive experience for EV users and supporting Saudi Arabia’s EV adoption goals.
The collaboration between ROSHN and EVIQ will also witness the launch of the Kingdom’s first fast-charging public site at ROSHN Front in Riyadh.
This strategic alliance aims to leverage the expertise of both entities to enhance the infrastructure and support systems crucial for the widespread adoption of EVs in the region.
