Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) aims to enhance collaboration with the UK through a signed agreement, focusing on bolstering future investments and providing support to existing British investors in the emirate.
The bilateral pact also seeks to stimulate business activities by fostering international connectivity between Ras Al Khaimah and the UK, benefitting the broader region.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, welcomed a high-level British delegation to discuss trade and economic cooperation between the emirate and the UK.
The delegation, including Gareth Johnson MP, British Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to the UAE, and representatives from the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai (BCCD), led by Chairman Andrew Mortimer and CEO Katy Holmes, engaged in talks on various areas of collaboration.
RAK Economic Zone officials provided the delegation with insights into establishing businesses in the free zone, showcasing extensive support and services for those venturing into UAE enterprises.
Ramy Jallad, RAKEZ Group CEO, highlighted the significance of the collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai in solidifying economic ties between the UK and Ras Al Khaimah, according to Arabian Business.
Rob Bricker, Country Director for the Department of Business and Trade at the British Embassy, UAE, expressed full support for the partnership between BCCD and RAKEZ, anticipating continued collaborative efforts for mutual growth and prosperity.
RAKEZ currently hosts over 1,700 British SMEs and industrial players, including Ahmad Tea, A2C (world’s leading laptop remanufacturer), Spatial Composite (aircraft cabin simulator manufacturer), Manchester Paperbags, JRL Fabrications, and more.
