Qatar’s Ministry of Transport is set to launch a significant expansion of Lusail Tram services beginning Monday, April 8.
Under this expansion, the MOT will oversee operations on the Pink Line service along with all Orange Line stations.
The expansion will introduce ten new Orange Line stations, including Naifa, Fox Hills – South, Downtown Lusail, Al Khayl Street, Fox Hills – North, Crescent Park – North, Rawdat Lusail, Erkiyah, Lusail Stadium, and Al Yasmeen.
With the introduction of the Pink Line service and Orange Line stations, the total number of operational stations in the Lusail Tram network will increase to 21.
Operating seven days a week, the Lusail Tram service will maintain the same operating hours as the Doha Metro: from 5.30am to midnight on Saturday through Wednesday, from 5.30am to 1am on Thursdays, and from 2pm to 1am on Fridays.
This expansion will enable the public to conveniently access various areas and destinations in Lusail, including Al Seef, Crescent Park, Lusail Boulevard, Al Maha Island, and others, as well as connect seamlessly to the Metro network via Legtaifiya Station.
The initiative aligns with Qatar MOT’s strategy of developing an integrated, sustainable, environmentally friendly, and multimodal public transportation system.
