UAE, 02 August 2024 – Sobha Group’s Founder and Chairman, Mr. PNC Menon, has committed to constructing 50 homes for families affected by the recent landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, India. This initiative is a heartfelt response to the catastrophic natural disaster. Furthermore, it underscores Mr. Menon’s unwavering dedication to philanthropy and community support.
Mr. Menon conveyed his deep sympathies for the lives lost and the families displaced by the landslides. “In this hour of distress, we stand in solidarity with the people of Wayanad. These 50 homes in Wayanad will supplement the 1000 homes that Sobha Group is already constructing for underprivileged families in the Palakkad district of Kerala.
The beneficiary families will be selected based on impartial criteria, ensuring aid reaches those most in need. The Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust, established by Mr. PNC Menon and Mrs. Sobha Menon, will manage the construction and funding of these homes. This Trust has been pivotal in promoting philanthropy and leading various CSR initiatives in Kerala.
