PayCargo, a leading logistics payment platform, has officially launched in the UAE. Emirates SkyCargo is the first regional carrier to adopt the system, providing customers with a fully digital and secure payment experience that streamlines the cargo handling process.
The PayCargo platform brings together carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and other logistics stakeholders through a single digital interface. Its arrival in the UAE signals a shift from outdated manual and cash-based procedures. Emirates SkyCargo customers can now make real-time payments via credit card or direct debit, enabling same-day or next-business-day cargo release and improving operational efficiency.
Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President at Emirates SkyCargo, noted that technology and digital solutions will shape the future of logistics. He said the partnership with PayCargo offers faster, safer transactions, simplifies internal processes, and helps address broader challenges in air freight access.
Eduardo Del Riego, President and CEO of PayCargo, expressed his satisfaction with the UAE launch in collaboration with Emirates SkyCargo. He stated that the platform improves the overall payment process, replacing manual workflows with a more reliable and efficient system. He also emphasised their long-term commitment to supporting Emirates SkyCargo’s digital initiatives.
This launch follows a strategic partnership established in 2022 between PayCargo and Seed Group, a company affiliated with the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum. Seed Group has played a key role in guiding PayCargo’s entry and expansion within the UAE and the broader Middle East and North Africa region.
