Parkin Company, a specialist in paid public parking in Dubai, has partnered with the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), the government body responsible for mosques and Islamic charitable services, to provide smart parking management around mosques across the emirate.
The parking areas will be divided into Zone M (standard) and Zone MP (premium). Worshippers will enjoy one hour of free parking during prayer times, while outside those hours, the spaces will remain chargeable 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In the first stage of the revenue-sharing deal, Parkin will manage 2,100 parking spaces spread across 59 mosque sites under IACAD’s supervision. This expansion will bring Parkin’s total private parking portfolio to nearly 20,800 spaces.
Out of the 59 locations, 41 will be allocated to Zone M and 18 to Zone MP, with the initiative expected to roll out before the end of August 2025.
Tariffs for Zone M will be set at AED 2 for half an hour and AED 4 for a full hour. In Zone MP, peak charges will be AED 3 for half an hour and AED 6 for one hour.
The collaboration between Parkin and IACAD is designed to improve accessibility to mosques, ensuring parking facilities are used fairly and efficiently during prayer times while enhancing the overall experience for worshippers across Dubai.
