Qatar’s Ooredoo Group plans to use Nvidia’s accelerated computing platform to support the AI revolution across the MENA region as an Nvidia Cloud Partner.
Ooredoo is developing an AI-ready platform using Nvidia’s systems, software, and services to meet the high demand for accelerated computing and hyperconnectivity.
The platform will serve authorities, businesses, and startups in Qatar, Algeria, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait, and the Maldives, securely processing private data to generate valuable insights.
Ooredoo will deploy thousands of Nvidia Tensor Core GPUs in its AI data centres, providing customers with advanced AI tools to optimize processes and enhance efficiencies.
Group CEO Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo stated that by adopting Nvidia’s platform, Ooredoo aims to lead the AI revolution in MENA and drive digital transformation.
The collaboration with Nvidia will support the growing demand for AI infrastructure and enable local clouds to foster AI ecosystems and applications.
Ooredoo will offer GPU-as-infrastructure for customers to integrate accelerated computing into their cloud solutions.
The agreement was signed at TMForum’s DTW24 in Copenhagen, and Ooredoo, listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, reported revenues of QAR 23B ($6.32B) in 2023.
