Hisense, the global electronics giant, has announced ambitious plans to expand its presence in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. During a recent visit to Dubai, Hisense Group Chairman Jia Shaoqian outlined the company’s strategy, which includes significant investments in technology, research and development, and new production facilities.
Since 2019, Hisense has doubled its business revenue in the MEA region, with brand equity increasing by over 120 percent. This growth has prompted the company to further invest in the region to meet the rising demand for innovative technology and consumer electronics.
“Hisense is committed to bringing groundbreaking technology and high-tech innovation to households in the Middle East and Africa to uplift consumers’ lives. Our growth in this region is a testament to our commitment, and we are excited to continue building on this success,” said Jia Shaoqian.
As part of its expansion, Hisense plans to establish new production facilities, starting with Egypt in late 2024. These facilities will enhance distribution across North Africa and the Levant while creating local employment opportunities.

Currently, Hisense operates a research and development center in Dubai Media City, focused on developing products tailored for MEA consumers. The company’s expansion strategy also includes investments in global brand-building sponsorships and enhancements to its service network and supply chain.
These initiatives are part of Hisense’s broader goal to become a leading global force in the consumer electronics industry. By strengthening its connection with both partners and consumers in the MEA region, Hisense aims to deliver innovative and high-quality products that meet the unique needs of this diverse market.
