According to Gulf Today, from January 30 to February 2, 2023, the Dubai World Trade Center will host the four-day healthcare exhibition. Speaking on the occasion of the event’s inauguration, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: “The UAE and Dubai have placed a high priority on creating one of the world’s best healthcare sectors, in line with our development vision centred on human wellbeing and happiness.”
“Consistent with our unwavering drive for excellence, we continue to transform the sector by bringing together the globe’s leading healthcare expertise, talent and institutions and opening new avenues for innovation to flourish,” his highness added.
“Our goal is to create a vibrant global healthcare hub that serves not only the needs of the people of our nation but also caters to the growing requirements of our vast region. Aligned with our goal of making the UAE one of the world’s best places to live and work, we are on a constantly evolving journey to raise standards of human development and welfare,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed concluded.
At the exhibition, more than 3,000 exhibitors from more than 70 nations will present cutting-edge new healthcare innovations. In addition to nine Continuous Medical Education (CME) seminars with keynote addresses, scientific talks, and industry briefings, Arab Health 2023 will include over 300 regional and international speakers. After the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed went on an event tour and stopped by the booths of several prestigious businesses, including GE Healthcare, the Cleveland Clinic, Healthcare Spain, Siemens, and Philips. His Highness also went to the Emirates Health Pavilion, which is being attended by the Departments of Health in Abu Dhabi (DOH), Dubai (DHA), and the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP).
As part of an innovative national drive to offer curative and digital health services in line with the nation’s objective to construct a sustainable, adaptable preventative health system, the three authorities display jointly-developed initiatives. The Emirates Health pavilion, at 1,200 square metres, is the biggest pavilion in Arab Health 2023 history.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was shown the NAEOTOM Alpha with Quantum Technology, the first photon-counting CT scanner in the world, at the Siemens booth. The new diagnostic imaging technology, which is a redesign of computed tomography, uses photon-counting detectors to produce accurate three-dimensional (3D) pictures. The new solution has the ability to provide hospitals, medical facilities, and private clinics with superior quality services.
His Highness also saw a number of cutting-edge medical technology systems being displayed by Philips, such as its new MR 7700 system for high-quality MRI imaging and a silent ICT scanner. The eICU programme is a revolutionary critical care tele-ICU programme that combines audio-video technology, predictive analytics, data visualisation, and advanced reporting capabilities. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was also given information on the Revolution Aspire computed tomography (CT) system from GE Healthcare, which is slated to go global at Arab Health 2023.
The UAE was selected as the location for the technology’s worldwide premiere owing to its healthcare system’s focus on the future and its leadership’s commitment to offering the most cutting-edge patient care, according to GE Healthcare officials. The involvement of GE Healthcare in the occasion is consistent with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability and the company’s dedication to a more sustainable future.
