Empower, a Dubai-listed cooling company, will update its district cooling plant in Jumeirah Beach Residential (JBR) for AED 102M ($27.8M). The work is anticipated to be finished by 2025, according to the company, which went public on Dubai Financial Market (DFM) in November.
Modern technologies will be used in the project to increase the cooling system’s energy efficiency and dependability, Empower told DFM in a statement. The third renovation to the plant since it was completed 19 years ago—the first was in 2016—will help save energy, increase efficiency, drastically cut carbon emissions, and relieve pressure on the country’s power grid, according to the company.
The facility serves the JBR and Bluewaters neighbourhoods, which include numerous upscale hotels like Caesars Palace and the Address Beach Resort as well as tourist destinations like Ain Dubai and Madame Tussauds Dubai.
