Emirates and flydubai have marked a significant achievement, with over five million passengers flying across their combined network in the past year—representing a 36% year-on-year increase. This highlights the success of their strategic partnership, which has become a benchmark for airline collaborations.
This achievement is the result of more than seven years of close cooperation, driven by a shared mission to simplify travel and strengthen Dubai’s global connectivity. Aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), the two carriers are helping position Dubai as one of the world’s most connected cities by supporting access to 400 trade and tourism destinations.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group and Chairman of flydubai, stated: “The Emirates and flydubai partnership has redefined airline cooperation. It has enhanced global connectivity and improved travel experiences, underpinned by a powerful joint network. I am proud of what has been accomplished and excited for what lies ahead.”
Since 2017, the alliance has benefited over 22 million passengers, offering an integrated loyalty programme and a coordinated flight schedule that provides exceptional convenience. What started as a 29-city network has grown to 240 destinations in over 100 countries, supported by streamlined services, smooth transfers, and enhanced access to Dubai Airport’s Terminal 3.
Currently, customers can choose from around 295 codeshare flights daily. Over 330 weekly flydubai flights now depart Terminal 3 to sought-after cities such as Zanzibar, Riyadh, and Naples. Emirates travellers can reach more than 132 flydubai destinations, while flydubai passengers can access over 142 destinations via Emirates.
Both airlines have also seen a 31% increase in premium cabin bookings, reflecting strong demand for their high-quality services. Emirates and flydubai continue to expand, with new routes announced across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
