Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai will host the 10th World Free Zones Organisation (World FZO) World Congress from 23-25 September at Madinat Jumeirah. This year’s theme is ‘Zones and the Shifting Global Economic Structures – Unlocking New Investment Avenues’, addressing global sector priorities.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the congress returns to Dubai for the second consecutive year and the fifth time overall. The previous congress was one of the largest in World FZO’s history.
The event will bring together over 2,000 global leaders, free zone officials, and experts from more than 100 countries. It will highlight the role of economic zones in global trade, which comprises over a third of worldwide trade flows, and their impact on national economies, trade, and investment.
Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Chairman of World FZO, stated that hosting the congress in Dubai reflects the UAE’s commitment to enhancing global economic zones. The event supports Dubai’s aim to double its foreign trade to AED 25T and establish trade corridors with 400 new cities by 2033. It will also focus on modern sectors like AI and advanced technology, supporting sustainable economic growth and global prosperity.
The World FZO, with over 1,600 members from 141 countries, continues to grow its influence and role in the global economy, diversifying into new sectors and creating significant employment opportunities.
