Dubai South Properties has awarded a substantial AED150 million ($40.8 million) contract to Al Turath Al Aseel Contracting for the construction of the South Living Tower, a new luxury residential project in The Residential District of Dubai South. The project, which was announced in June 2024, is anticipated to be completed by the first quarter of 2027.
The South Living Tower will feature 209 residential units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, including special terraced units.
This development will offer residents a suite of high-end amenities, including a swimming pool, gym, sauna, multi-purpose room, children’s library, yoga deck, and landscaped gardens.
Nabil Al Kindi, CEO of Dubai South Properties, commented, “The demand for residential apartments at Dubai South has been steadily increasing. After the announcement of new passenger terminals at Al Maktoum International Airport in April, we saw a significant rise in interest for housing, which is reflected in the increased sales and rental values in Dubai South. Our goal is to support the government’s vision of attracting one million residents to Dubai South once the airport is operational.”
Al Kindi further stated, “We are confident that Al Turath Al Aseel’s expertise will ensure the successful realization of this project, which aims to provide a superior living experience with luxurious finishes and well-designed amenities. Our commitment remains focused on delivering premium, spacious residences that meet the growing demand.”
Also, Dubai South’s Residential District currently accommodates over 25,000 residents and is equipped with various amenities, including parks, sports courts, retail outlets, a hypermarket, a mosque, and a petrol station. Additionally, the GEMS Founders School, which opened in August, is awaiting KHDA approvals.
This development aligns with the broader governmental vision to attract one million residents to Dubai South upon the completion of Al Maktoum International Airport. The South Living Tower will offer luxurious living with premium amenities.
