In a major announcement, Dubai’s Mashreq Metro Station has officially been renamed to InsuranceMarket.ae following a landmark 10-year partnership between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the UAE’s leading insurance platform, InsuranceMarket.ae. This strategic collaboration grants the company the naming rights for the next decade, marking a significant development in Dubai’s infrastructure and advertising landscape.
Also, the rebranding process will transform the station, which is located along the Red Line between Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Internet City Metro Stations. Situated on the prominent Sheikh Zayed Road, the newly named InsuranceMarket Metro Station will continue to serve as a vital transit point for thousands of commuters daily. The station’s new identity highlights the increasing trend of public-private partnerships that benefit both the government and businesses.
Private Sector Collaboration for Economic Growth
Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of RTA’s Rail Agency, emphasized the critical role of partnerships with the private sector in driving economic growth. “The Emirate of Dubai provides an excellent platform for major companies and entrepreneurs to showcase and promote their brands, and Dubai Metro stations offer a unique and advanced advertising opportunity for companies and investors in the UAE and the region,” Kalbat said. He further added that such collaborations help enhance Dubai’s global competitiveness and create jobs across various sectors, reinforcing the government’s vision for a diversified economy.
InsuranceMarket.ae Celebrates a Significant Milestone
Avinash Babur, Founder and CEO of InsuranceMarket.ae, expressed his enthusiasm about securing the naming rights for the iconic metro station. “Having one of Dubai’s iconic metro stations dedicated to InsuranceMarket is a significant milestone in our organisation’s journey,” Babur noted. He also emphasized the parallel between the metro system’s role in connecting the city’s residents and visitors and InsuranceMarket.ae’s mission to connect customers with the best insurance solutions, enhancing safety and convenience for the community.
Transition and Public Awareness
The RTA confirmed that the renaming process will take place from September to November 2024. During this period, external and internal signage will be updated to reflect the station’s new name, along with adjustments to smart systems, public transport apps, and onboard audio announcements.
The RTA has urged commuters to be aware of the upcoming changes and directed them to seek assistance from RTA staff at metro stations for any clarifications.
