The Dubai Chamber of Commerce recently held a team from the Dubai Land Department (DLD), where representatives shared their digital transformation and customer service experience, as well as best practices.
The meeting focused on government work systems and discussed future work and knowledge-sharing opportunities, according to the state news agency WAM. Abdullah Al Siri, senior director of the Customer Happiness Department, and Fatima Al Shamsi, senior manager of Real Estate Services, was on hand to represent the DLD. The DLD representatives were given an overview of the chamber’s advanced digital transformation system, which allows chamber members and customers to complete transactions quickly and easily.
Hattawi elaborated on the chamber’s advanced digital infrastructure and systems, which are designed to provide a seamless customer experience, adding that digital transformation remains a top priority for the organization as it supports Dubai’s strategic ambition of becoming the smartest city in the world.
He said that electronic transactions conducted by customers at the chamber increased by 8.4 percent year-over-year between January and May 2022, reaching over 308,000 electronic transactions.
Ahmed Al Theeb highlighted the chamber’s strong commitment to providing smart services that add value for its members and improve the ease of doing business in Dubai. He noted that digital transformation efforts played a role in boosting membership growth and the number of certificates of origin issued and received by the chamber, as the smart systems in place simplified and facilitated procedures and processes for customers.
In recent developments, the Dubai International Chamber, one of three Chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, announced plans to open a representative office in Tel Aviv, which will aim to facilitate trade and investment between business communities in Dubai and Israel.
The announcement came during a meeting held on June 6 at the Chamber’s headquarters, attended by Hamad Buamim, president and CEO of Dubai Chambers, Orna Barbivay, Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry, Amir Hayek, Israel’s Ambassador to the UAE; and representatives from the embassy, ministry and Dubai Chambers.
