Dubai Taxi Corporation ( DTC ) has revealed an ambitious plan for digital transformation from 2022 to 2025. The strategy aims to achieve various goals centred around digital mobility, operational excellence, financial sustainability, people’s happiness, and shaping the future.
This strategy comprises nine main drivers: artificial intelligence (AI), smart revenues, the internet of things, smart city, big data, governance, security systems and upgrades, process automation and paperless initiatives, as well as future transformation and smart services.
Artificial intelligence is a key aspect, encompassing 45 initiatives. These include automated AI responses to customer inquiries, voice virtual assistance at the call centre, a taxi demand prediction system, driver face recognition for security, customer voice recognition, and augmented reality for an improved experience.
Additionally, we will install onboard sensors to detect malfunctions, establish a system for registering foreign worker-supplying companies, and strengthen communication with companies for driver appointments, as reported by Gulf Business.
The plan involves smart revenue development, with highlights on the Dubai Taxi Corporation App, a school bus tracking system, streamlined administrative procedures, and online payment.
Big data will involve a driver performance scale and data integration for decision-making. Governance, security, and system upgrades will protect databases and prevent disruptions.
Process automation and a paperless strategy focus on employee initiatives, including attendance management, collaboration with the Dubai Government’s digital recruitment platform, and a smart driver learning system.
The paperless initiative aims to minimize carbon emissions by reducing paper transactions. Future transformation includes managing passenger movement at airports, a queuing system for taxis and limousines, and a virtual control centre. Smart services encompass customer relationship management integration and automated services for drivers, employees, and suppliers.
