Arise UAE, under the leadership of Chairman Dr Mahmoud AlBurai and Co-chairman Dr Tariq Ahmed Nizami, spearheaded an initiative on December 5, 2023, at The Sustainable City, Dubai.
The event, held in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), focused on the critical theme, “Resilience in an era of uncertainty: partnership for a more sustainable world.”
The event commenced with a welcome note from Arise UAE Co-chairman Dr. Tariq Ahmed Nizami, followed by opening remarks by Chairman Dr. Mahmoud AlBurai.

Dr. Sujit Mohanty, Chief of Branch-Intergovernmental Processes, Interagency Coordination, and Partnerships at UNDRR, Geneva delivered the keynote speech. Dr. Mohanty’s insights set the stage for a panel discussion.
