Saudi Aramco Ventures, the investment arm of Saudi Aramco, has made an investment in US-based climate technology startup Via Separations.
The venture capital unit participated in the company’s $36 million funding round, alongside other investors including Climate Investment and Marathon Petroleum Corporation.
The newly secured funding will support the expansion of the startup’s operations and facilitate the rollout of its modular filtration platform across refining and chemical industries.
Via Separations develops advanced filtration solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption in industrial separation processes by as much as 90%. Its technology is also designed to deliver substantial emissions reductions across industrial applications.
According to CEO Shreya Dave, the investment will accelerate commercial project delivery, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, and enable the global deployment of the company’s technology.
