Ajman’s tourism industry is taking off! Visitor numbers, hotel bookings, and overall tourism revenue are all way up in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024.
The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) says this growth is thanks to a 3% jump in hotel occupancy rates and a big 9% increase in tourist arrivals. Plus, tourists are staying a bit longer on average, with hotel stays up 5%.
These numbers are a great sign for Ajman’s tourism scene. So, what’s driving this boom? Ajman has been investing in tourism lately, building new hotels, resorts, and attractions.
The emirate is also known for its rich history and traditional markets, which are attracting travelers looking for a more authentic experience.
The good news for Ajman’s tourism industry is expected to continue.
The emirate is well-positioned to benefit from the overall tourism boom happening across the UAE, fueled by events like Expo 2020 Dubai and the UAE making it easier for people from many countries to visit.
