During a meeting with the Ajman China Mall delegation, led by General Manager Luo Feng and attended by Nasser Al Dhafri, Executive Director of the Member Support and Innovation Sector at the Ajman Chamber, Abdullah Al Muwaji, Chairman of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), praised the growth of investments and commercial developments at the Ajman China Mall. He expressed ACCI’s eagerness to offer all available facilities to Chinese companies interested in investing in Ajman.
Al Muwaji highlighted the importance of developing global economic relationships to enhance Ajman’s position as a center for foreign investments, especially from China. He emphasized the ACCI’s interest in attracting leading Chinese companies in technology, clean and alternative energy, and waste-to-energy applications to boost trade and investment exchange between the two sides. The ACCI aims to adopt alternative energy solutions by companies and factories in Ajman and make use of solar energy in line with the UAE’s preparations to host COP 28. According to statistics, non-oil trade between the UAE and China in 2022 reached AED 264B, with a growth rate of 18 percent from the previous year’s AED 223B.
Over the past three years, re-export rates between Ajman and China have seen significant growth, reaching about 60 percent. During the meeting, General Manager of Ajman China Mall Luo Feng expressed appreciation for the ACCI’s efforts in providing an attractive investment environment in Ajman. He credited the growth in Chinese investments in Ajman to the wise leadership and support of economic authorities in the emirate, which resulted in the high performance and occupancy rates of the Ajman China Mall, according to WAM.
Attendees of the meeting suggested increasing participation in specialized exhibitions and conferences in both Ajman and China to identify investment opportunities and areas of cooperation between the two countries’ governments and private sectors. They also recommended opening up avenues for collaboration between business owners and investors from both sides.
