The UAE Cabinet, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the appointment of Saeed Mubarak Rashid Al Hajeri as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Drug Establishment.
Al Hajeri brings extensive experience and specialist knowledge to this vital position. He currently serves as the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Trade Affairs. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lewis & Clark College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). In addition, he has completed an Executive Education Programme at Harvard Business School.
Over the course of his esteemed career, Al Hajeri has held several high-ranking roles within both UAE and Abu Dhabi government institutions. His previous appointments include Executive Director at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA); Chairman of the Board of the CFA Institute; Chairman of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank; Chairman of Salama Insurance Company; Board member of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA); and Board member of the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination.
Al Hajeri has been widely acknowledged for his outstanding service to the UAE’s public and financial sectors. In 2007, he was selected as one of the World Economic Forum’s Top 250 Young Global Leaders. He remains actively involved in various national economic and investment councils and committees and currently represents the UAE as Sherpa to the BRICS group.
