Dubai Chamber of Commerce has successfully hosted the second quarterly roundtable meeting for Business Groups and Business Councils in 2025. The event brought together members from sector-specific Business Groups and country-specific Business Councils overseen by the chamber. These bodies represent a wide range of private sector enterprises within Dubai’s business community.
The meeting offered a strategic platform to discuss economic growth opportunities and highlighted key developments shaping the local business environment. Attendees received updates on new initiatives, programmes, and future plans designed to support private sector success and foster sustainable business expansion. The discussion focused on boosting the competitiveness of local companies in line with emerging economic trends.
Increased Engagement and Policy Influence
During the first quarter of 2025, Dubai Chamber facilitated 55 meetings with Business Groups and Business Councils, marking a 166% increase compared to the same period last year. The chamber also launched two new Business Councils: the Indonesian Business Council and the Hungarian Business Council. These new bodies strengthen ties with companies and investors from these markets.
Dubai Chamber reviewed 10 laws and draft laws with Business Groups during Q1 2025. Recommendations from the private sector achieved a 55% adoption rate, reflecting the growing influence of business advocacy on policymaking. Additionally, the chamber coordinated four joint meetings involving Business Groups, Business Councils, and government stakeholders to address sector-specific challenges and promote collaboration.
