EDGE, a global leader in advanced technology and defence, has signed a strategic letter of intent with the Brazilian Navy, via the Navy’s Weapons Systems Directorate, outlining a collaboration to jointly develop counter-drone technologies.
The forthcoming phase will see the creation of a joint working group, bringing together technical specialists from both sides to further enhance the partnership.
This collaboration aims to design and implement anti-drone solutions specifically suited to naval defence requirements, with an emphasis on autonomous aerial and surface technologies.
The systems under development will feature cutting-edge sensors, including radar and electro-optical components, alongside signal jamming functions to counter threats from autonomous surface and aerial platforms.
EDGE and the Brazilian Navy formalised the agreement during LAAD Defence & Security 2025 at the Riocentro Exhibition & Convention Centre in Rio de Janeiro.
This development reflects a sustained commitment to deepening technical, operational, and logistical cooperation with the Brazilian Navy, with a mutual objective of advancing high-performance naval counter-drone systems.
