The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and its Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee will bring the 4th CFO Conference Middle East 2024 to Dubai on October 29, uniting financial leaders and business experts from across the region. Designed under the theme “Inclusive Growth: Reconfiguring Business Strategies,” the conference aims to address current economic, technological, and environmental challenges shaping the future of finance and business.
This year’s event marks ICAP’s return to the UAE after previous editions in 2015, 2016, and 2023. The conference is expected to draw over 500 finance professionals for interactive sessions, expert insights, and networking opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to learn from esteemed speakers, including RAK Chamber of Commerce’s Aarefa Saleh Al Falahi, Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants CEO Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Almeghames, and ICAP President Farrukh Rehman.
Discussions will spotlight the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in finance for enhanced decision-making and operational efficiency, as well as the importance of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) standards in fostering sustainable growth. Other key sessions will explore regional economic initiatives, emerging investment opportunities, and strategies for building resilient and competitive enterprises.
This conference comes shortly after the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s announcement that it is considering ICAP’s recommended adoption of the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards to promote transparent and responsible financial practices. ICAP’s recent focus on these standards reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting finance professionals and advancing sustainable practices across the sector.
By fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among leading experts, ICAP’s conference aims to empower financial leaders to navigate an evolving global economy, stay competitive, and contribute to sustainable development. This high-profile event underscores ICAP’s dedication to professional growth, innovation, and regional economic advancement, reaffirming its role as a key player in the Middle East’s finance industry.
