Dubai residents can expect enhanced transport services and free parking privileges during the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays, as announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Thursday. From Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18, motorists will enjoy free parking across the city, excluding multi-level parking terminals. Regular parking tariffs will resume on June 19.
The RTA has also adjusted the operating hours for Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram during this period:
- Both Red and Green Lines of the Dubai Metro will operate on Friday (June 14) and Saturday (June 15) from 5 am to 1 am the following day.
- On Sunday (June 16), Metro services will run from 8 am to 1 am the next day.
- From Monday to Friday (June 17-21), Metro timings will be from 5 am to 1 am daily.
Dubai Tram services will operate as follows:
- On Saturday (June 15), the Tram will run from 6 am to 1 am.
- Sunday (June 16) will see Tram services from 9 am to 1 am.
- From Monday to Friday (June 17-21), the Tram will operate from 6 am to 1 am.
During the Eid holidays, RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed, except for select kiosks or smart customer centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, and Al Kifaf. The RTA head office will remain operational 24/7.
Other transport updates include the suspension of bus routes E100 (from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station) and E102 (from Al Jafiliya Bus Station) from June 14 to 18. Alternative routes are available via bus route E101 to Abu Dhabi and from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Mussafah Community.
For real-time updates and schedules, commuters are advised to use the S’hail App. Marine transport services, including water taxis, Dubai Ferry, and abras, will also operate according to adjusted schedules available on the RTA app.
The Dubai government has declared Eid Al Adha public and private sector holidays from Saturday to Tuesday, with regular work resuming on Wednesday, June 19.
