Marriott International and WOW Resorts have collaborated to introduce a high-end resort and residential project on Al Marjan Island in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
The JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort and JW Marriott Residences Al Marjan Island are set to open in late 2026.
This marks the inaugural venture of WOW Resorts, based in the United States, into Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE.
Marjan Island Development to Showcase Luxury Residences and Resort
Situated on Marjan’s primary island development, the residential component and upscale resort will provide uninterrupted sea views. It will comprise 524 residences, including one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units, as well as lavish penthouses. Additionally, the project will feature 300 luxury guest rooms.
The development’s amenities encompass seven dining establishments, a spa, pools, and a fitness centre, according to Gulf Business.
Bhupender ‘Bruce’ Patel, co-founder and co-CEO of WOW Resorts, said, “Our collaboration with Marriott International and our venture on Al Marjan Island represents a new chapter in our journey. With the demand for waterfront living on the rise, we are committed to optimising and elevating the experiences of all our guests and residents as we embark on this remarkable project in the UAE, set on Al Marjan Island, a prime investment destination in the region.”
Saahil Lalit, vice president of Development for the Middle East at Marriott International added, “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with WOW Resorts and Marjan by bringing JW Marriott, one of our flagship brands, to Ras Al Khaimah. This signing also marks our third deal within Al Marjan Island, and we are excited to further grow our portfolio within the iconic destination.”
Marriott expands its presence in Ras Al Khaimah
In August this year, Marriott International joined forces with Dalands Holding to reveal the upcoming launch of W Hotel on Al Marjan Island. Expected to greet its initial guests in early 2027, W Al Marjan Island will also mark the debut of W Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah, boasting a total of 300 rooms.
Simultaneously, the inaugural Marriott International establishment on Al Marjan Island was confirmed in May of this year through a partnership with UAE-based real estate developer, Three Musketeers Hospitality. This collaboration will culminate in the inauguration of Le Méridien Al Marjan Island Resort and Spa in 2026, featuring 350 rooms.
