Gold prices dropped to their lowest level in two months on Thursday, with spot gold declining 1.7 per cent to USD4,380.62 per ounce by 0409 GMT after touching its weakest point since March 26 earlier in the session.
US gold futures for June settlement also moved lower, slipping 1.6 per cent to USD4,377.10.
Other precious metals recorded losses as well. Spot silver tumbled 3 per cent to USD72.37 per ounce, while platinum fell 1.4 per cent to USD1,890.81, with both metals reaching nearly one-month lows. Palladium also declined 1.9 per cent to USD1,364.26.
