The UAE has confirmed that public and private schools, as well as universities, will transition to remote learning next week.
According to an official statement, distance learning will begin on Monday, March 2, and continue until Wednesday, March 4.
In a social media post, the authorities stated: “The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research have announced that classes will move to distance learning from Monday, 2 March 2026, until Wednesday, 4 March 2026, for students, as well as teaching and administrative staff, across all public and private schools and universities nationwide.
“The situation will be reviewed continuously throughout the week, and the duration may be extended if necessary, depending on further developments.”
