Botim Money has partnered with TerraPay to expand its cross-border remittance offering, initially targeting money transfers from the UAE to African markets.
Botim Money operates as the financial services arm of Botim and said it serves millions of users across the UAE and other regions. TerraPay, meanwhile, positions itself as a global money movement company with an extensive cross-border payments network.
Under the agreement, Botim Money users will be able to send funds via direct bank transfers as well as mobile wallet payouts. These payouts are enabled through TerraPay’s network, which spans multiple countries.
The companies said the integration incorporates real-time validation across several payout markets, allowing recipient details to be verified before a transfer is initiated. This, they added, is intended to improve delivery reliability and overall success rates.
For UAE-based remittance users, the partnership is framed around faster transactions, greater transparency and lower costs. Botim Money said it will initially prioritise corridors to Uganda, Kenya, Ghana and Egypt, where mobile wallets are a key channel for receiving funds.
