Ali Djadda Kampard, Minister of Commerce and Industry of Chad, encouraged Expo 2020 Dubai’s visitors to explore economic and investment opportunities Chad has to offer and benefit from its unexploited resources, stressing his country’s keenness to benefit from the UAE’s experiences in the areas of development and economic growth.
In a press conference held at Expo 2020 Dubai on the sidelines of Chad’s National Day celebrations, Kampard highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the UAE and his country and the importance of consolidating their economic relations, increasing their trade exchange, exploring available investment opportunities in priority sectors, and introducing the business community in the UAE to economic and investment opportunities in Chad.
He added that Chad offers promising opportunities in the renewable energy sector and has abundant natural resources.
He called on Expo 2020 Dubai’s visitors and the Emirati business community to explore its economic potential, relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks and investment environment.
He also noted his country underwent reforms to attract investments through its national investment agency.
In his response to WAM’s question on Chad’s infrastructure, Kampard explained it is being developed quickly by building roads and bridges.
He then affirmed that Chad aims to be an emergent country by 2030 through partnerships in the aviation and ports sector and urged investors to launch infrastructure projects to attract further foreign investments.
