Walid Sheta is the President of Schneider Electric’s Middle East and Africa (MEA) Zone, a role he assumed in November 2021. The MEA Zone spans six clusters and covers nearly 80 countries, where he leads the company’s mission to drive digital transformation in energy management and automation. His focus is on advancing a sus- tainable and inclusive future, leveraging technology and innovation to help communities and businesses maximise their energy and resources.
Before his current role, Walid served as Cluster President for North East Africa and the Levant, contributing to major national and private sector projects. He began his journey with Schneider Electric in 1994 and has held leadership positions globally. He established the company’s first Regional Distribution Centre in Jebel Ali in 2001 and later took on international roles in France, including International Accounts Manager and Vice President of Strategy for Egypt and Africa. Over nearly three decades, Walid has built expertise in project management, production planning, sales, business development, and strategic leadership.
