H.E. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy, emphasized that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) places great importance on reinforcing collaborative ties among Arab nations. This commitment aligns with the UAE’s steadfast dedication to supporting endeavors that safeguard the welfare of Arab populations and promote their long-term economic and social stability.
Al Marri made these remarks while attending a ministerial-level session of the Economic and Social Council held in the capital of Saudi Arabia. As the head of the UAE delegation, he participated in the meeting, which aimed to lay the groundwork for the upcoming 32nd Arab League Summit scheduled for May 19th, according to WAM.
“We are keen to strengthen the frameworks for economic integration among Arab nations and to adopt more open and accommodating policies, including the creation of a single customs union, which helps boost exports and imports and supports the growth of Arab trade exchange, within the framework of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, which aims to stimulate shared investments that will help to create thousands of jobs,” the minister added.
