UAE stocks extended their gains on Wednesday, witnessing a market capitalization surge of more than AED 2.84B.
The total market capitalization of listed stocks increased from AED 3.609T on the previous day to AED 3.612T by the end of today’s trading.
This is distributed as AED 2.932T for stocks listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and AED 680.7B for stocks listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
DFM recorded market gains of AED 2.04B, while ADX’s stocks registered AED 803.5M in gains, according to WAM.
Local stocks attracted approximately AED 1.52B in liquidity, with AED 1.21B in Abu Dhabi’s market and AED 313.8M in Dubai’s market. The trading activity involved around 762.3 million shares across more than 19,700 deals.
The FTSE ADX Growth Market Index (FADGMI) concluded with a 0.1 percent increase, rising by 9.2 points to settle at 9526.14 points. The FADX 15 index experienced a growth of about 0.1 percent, gaining approximately 9.5 points to close at 9301.94 points. DFM’s General Index showed a growth of 0.23 percent, equivalent to 9.44 points, settling at 4038.32 points.
