The United Arab Emirates has announced that it will host the Artificial Intelligence Summit in 2028, reinforcing its status as a global centre for advanced technologies and a key platform for shaping responsible AI governance on the international stage.
In 2027, the UAE will co-chair the summit alongside the Swiss Confederation in Geneva, highlighting its expanding role in driving global collaboration and policy discussions around artificial intelligence.
The announcement was made during the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, reflecting the UAE’s continued commitment to strengthening international partnerships and advancing dialogue on AI innovation and regulation.
H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, stated that under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, shaping the future of AI depends on international cooperation and the alignment of perspectives across governments and institutions.
