The UAE’s Tawazun Council confirmed the signing of 15 contracts worth AED 1,430M ($389M) with local and international firms on the final day of IDEX and NAVDEX 2025.
This brought the total agreements secured during the five-day event to 55, amounting to AED 25.15B ($6.8B), reflecting a 10% increase compared to 2023. The daily contract values were AED 3,970M ($1.1B) on day one, AED 5,800M ($1.6B) on day two, AED 10,180M ($2.8B) on day three, AED 3,770M ($1B) on day four, and AED 1,430M ($389M) on day five.
During a press conference, Tawazun Council spokespersons Majed Ahmed Al Jabri, Mohamed Saif Al Zaabi, and Mahra Bilal Al Dhaheri detailed agreements for the Ministry of Defence. Al Dhaheri announced 11 local contracts worth AED 766.3M ($209M), including deals with International Golden Group, Al Jaber Land Systems, Itqan AL Khaleej Computers, Al Taif, and e-Marine for procurement, maintenance, and infrastructure development.
Al Zaabi highlighted four international agreements valued at AED 661.6M ($180.2M), including contracts with Lockheed Martin for Sidewinder missile alignment, INSITU for drone system maintenance, Safran Helicopter Engines for aviation support, and GEW Technologies for a wireless jamming system.
Majed Ahmed Al Jabri underscored the UAE’s growing influence in the global defence sector, noting that Tawazun Council remains dedicated to strengthening national industry competitiveness and advancing defence capabilities. He reiterated the council’s commitment to adopting best procurement practices in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, ensuring the sector’s continued growth in line with the UAE’s strategic vision.
