In the Assembly’s press conference, the minister emphasised the need to close the gap in renewable energy deployment and showcased the UAE’s support for developing nations through investments such as ALTÉRRA, the world’s largest private climate fund, and the Africa Green Investment Initiative, which focuses on clean energy projects in Africa.
Dr. Al Dahak advocated for a collaborative approach to the global energy transition, urging nations to set ambitious renewable energy targets and foster attractive environments for private investment. She also highlighted IRENA’s role in tracking progress and guiding strategic decisions as the world prepares for COP30 in Belém.
Outside the formal session, Dr. Al Dahak participated in the IRENA Youth Fireside Chat, encouraging young people to engage in the renewable energy sector. She shared advice on leadership, urging youth to build strong partnerships and maintain a clear vision for the future.
