Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who served as Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative. The sad news was announced through an obituary issued by the Presidential Court, expressing condolences and prayers for the deceased. In honor of Sheikh Saeed, the UAE has declared a three-day period of official mourning, during which flags will be flown at half-mast from Thursday, July 27th, to Saturday, July 29th.

Born in 1965 in Al Ain, Sheikh Saeed held various governmental positions and was appointed as the Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in June 2010. His legacy includes service under the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
