UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the disbursement of Dhs1.5bn worth of housing benefits to Abu Dhabi citizens. The benefit will cover more than 1,100 beneficiaries in the emirate.
Additionally, the benefits package includes grants for houses, housing loans and the exemption of retirees and deceased families from paying the dues of housing loans.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, it is the second housing package to be announced this year and coincides with the Eid Al Adha holiday celebrations.
In April 2022, a housing package worth Dhs6.3bn for UAE citizens was approved in Dubai by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It was the first housing package this year, which coincided with Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
The aim of the housing benefits is the Government’s keenness to ensure social stability, enhance the citizens’ living standards and help them contribute to building and progressing the country.
