Petrol prices in the UAE witness an increase in July 2023

The UAE has announced the petrol and diesel prices for July 2023

Petrol prices in the UAE for July 2023 will see an increase, impacting Special 95, Super 98, and E-Plus fuels. Additionally, diesel prices will also rise. This adjustment comes after a slight decrease in petrol costs last month, resulting in a higher cost to refill petrol tanks in the UAE.

Petrol prices in the UAE have experienced fluctuations throughout the year, influenced by the dynamics of the global energy market. The Fuel Price Committee of the UAE convenes monthly to determine whether prices should increase or decrease. In the earlier months of this year, petrol prices saw a decline in January and February compared to November and December 2022. However, prices rose in March and subsequently fell in April. May witnessed an increase, while June witnessed a decrease. Effective from July 1, the new petrol prices in the UAE will be as follows:

Special 95: AED2.89 per litre (compared to AED2.84 in June)
Super 98: AED3.00 per litre (compared to AED2.95 in June)
E-Plus: AED2.81 per litre (compared to AED2.76 in June) Additionally, diesel prices will increase to AED2.76 per litre from AED2.68 in June.
Diesel: Dh2.76 per litre (compared to Dh2.68 last month)

The Fuel Price Committee enforced price freezes in 2020 but lifted these restrictions in March 2021 to align with the worldwide rise in oil prices. Additionally, the cost of petrol is impacted by the fluctuating trend of global crude oil prices.
