The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has announced a strategic collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to expand its Technology Transformation Program into a national enablement platform for UAE manufacturers, on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit.
Under the agreement, MoIAT’s Industrial Technology Transformation Index (ITTI) will be aligned with the WEF’s Lighthouse Operating System, making ITTI the national gateway for UAE factories to access the global Lighthouse framework. The alignment is intended to translate international best practices into measurable, factory-level transformation plans, while accelerating the adoption of advanced manufacturing and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.
Hasan Jasim Al Nowais, Undersecretary of MoIAT, said the collaboration supports the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, and the Make it in the Emirates initiative, strengthening industrial competitiveness, supply-chain resilience, and global integration.
The partnership also emphasises capacity building and execution-focused transformation, enabling manufacturers of all sizes to enhance operational maturity and integrate more deeply into global value chains.
