The UAE Accountability Authority has formalised a partnership with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission through a Memorandum of Understanding. Moreover, the agreement aims to enhance cooperation in anti-corruption measures and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two authorities.
The partnership seeks to promote transparency and integrity, advance joint efforts to combat corruption, and support governance frameworks aligned with international best practices. Additionally, it underscores the importance of coordinated action in addressing evolving accountability challenges.
Strategic Collaboration
The MoU was signed at the UAE Accountability Authority’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi by Humaid Obaid Abu Shibs, Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority, and Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Azam bin Baki, Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, during his official visit. As a result, both authorities reaffirmed their commitment to advancing international cooperation in accountability, transparency, and anti-corruption initiatives.
The initiative reflects the shared focus of the UAE and Malaysia on strengthening institutional capacity and fostering integrity in public governance. Furthermore, it signals a long-term commitment to collaboration on international anti-corruption standards and best practices.
