The UAE Ministry of Education has rolled out a unified digital system for assigning and assessing student work from kindergarten to Grade 12 under the “Ramadan with the Family” initiative, aiming to enhance consistency, transparency and digital engagement across public schools.
Under the updated framework, all assignments and evaluations will be posted through the Learning Management System (LMS) in line with the approved curriculum. The ministry stated that the unified approach is intended to clarify procedures, improve oversight of academic performance and ensure fairness for students across all stages of education.
Schools and teachers are required to follow specific guidelines when preparing and publishing assessments. These include entering the title of the evaluation, providing clear instructions, specifying the type of assignment and grading criteria, and setting submission deadlines before releasing tasks on the platform.
The system also establishes clear steps for students and parents. Completed assignments must be submitted electronically in approved formats, such as images, Word or PowerPoint documents, or video files, with a maximum size of 50MB. Students must click the “submit” button to ensure their work is properly recorded and counted towards final evaluation.
Teachers are instructed to access the course plan, select the “Ramadan with the Family 2026” module and activate the relevant content before uploading assessments. Each task must be labelled in English as “Week 1”, “Week 2” or “Week 3”, accompanied by detailed activity guidelines. Assignments will be categorised as handouts and graded out of 10 marks.
