The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has launched a new initiative aimed at involving citizens in raising awareness about its ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy’ programme.
It has distributed detailed questionnaires to individuals and private sector organisations to gather feedback and suggestions on the programme.
The questionnaire is designed to assess the impact of recent enhancements aimed at simplifying service delivery, reducing procedural complexities, eliminating duplicate requirements, and establishing a superior user experience in the healthcare sector.
This step also supports the ministry’s ongoing efforts to implement the zero bureaucracy programme.
The ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme’ was introduced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of simplifying public life and creating a business environment that attracts talent and investment, aligning with the goals of the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision.
Its objective is to streamline procedures to make them as simple, fast, and efficient as possible, thereby reducing unnecessary burdens on businesses and individuals in terms of time, effort, and resources, and enhancing societal quality of life.
Practical steps
As part of its commitment to achieving programme objectives, the ministry has taken practical steps to simplify and expedite access to services.
This includes eliminating unnecessary requirements and restructuring healthcare services to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency.
Moreover, the ministry is harnessing cutting-edge digital technologies and innovations to accurately assess healthcare needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring the provision of quick and user-friendly services that enhance customer satisfaction and happiness.
Such initiatives not only positively impact public health but also support the broader UAE goal of enhancing quality of life and happiness for all members of society.
Engaging customers in service development
Abdullah Ahmed Ahli, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for the Support Services Sector at MoHAP, highlighted that the questionnaire aims to involve customers in the programme’s implementation process, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services.
As part of the ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme’, the Ministry of Health and Prevention recently collaborated with the Prime Minister’s Office team to host a workshop focused on this initiative.
