Residents of the United Arab Emirates are gearing up for another day of sweltering heat and high humidity. According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the weather forecast for today predicts fair to partly cloudy skies with dust storms in some areas.
Temperatures are expected to soar to a scorching 48 degrees Celsius in inland regions, while coastal areas and islands will experience relatively cooler conditions with a maximum of 41 degrees Celsius in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
To compound the discomfort, humidity levels are anticipated to climb to as high as 85 percent in inland areas, with even higher levels expected in coastal regions, reaching a potential 90 percent.
Low clouds are forecast to form over the eastern coast during the morning, and there’s a possibility of convective cloud formation in the eastern and southern parts of the country.
The weather department has advised residents to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat, such as staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, and wearing appropriate clothing.
