The UAE collects an annual revenue of AED 10B to AED 11B ($2.72B to $3B) from indirect taxes, as stated by Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance.
This revenue constitutes a significant portion of the AED 65B ($17.7B) federal budget.
Al Khoori highlighted the vital contribution of these tax revenues in supporting economic development and strengthening the federal government’s fiscal stability.
Regarding UAE tax revenue, he remarked: “This highlights the strength of the UAE’s tax system, which aligns with its strategic vision for economic diversification and financial sustainability.”
