The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a red alert for fog in the UAE, warning of extremely low visibility conditions. The alert is in effect from 6:15 AM to 8:30 AM on Thursday, July 20.
Abu Dhabi Police has urged motorists to drive with extreme caution during this period and strictly adhere to the changing speed limits displayed on electronic boards.
In addition to the red alert, a yellow alert has been issued for certain areas from 4:30 AM to 8:30 AM, indicating a possibility of fog formation with reduced visibility.
While the day is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing on the eastern coast in the morning, temperatures will remain high, reaching 42°C in Abu Dhabi and 41°C in Dubai. Humidity levels are forecast to be high during the night and early morning, with a chance of mist formation in coastal areas.
