On Monday, the UAE fuel price committee disclosed the latest petrol and diesel prices for August 2023, unveiling significant changes from the previous month. Compared to July, There has been a surge in the prices of petrol and diesel.
Super 98 petrol will witness a notable increase, priced at AED 3.14 per litre, up from AED 3.00 per litre in July.
Special 95 petrol will now cost AED 3.02 per litre, compared to AED 2.89 per litre in the preceding month.
E-Plus category petrol will also experience a rise, with a new price of AED 2.95 per litre, up from AED 2.81 per litre in July.
Meanwhile, diesel prices will increase to AED 2.95 per litre, reflecting a substantial rise from the previous month’s price of AED 2.76 per litre.
These price adjustments are part of the UAE’s response to evolving global energy market dynamics and its efforts to ensure a balanced and sustainable approach to fuel pricing.

In July, UAE Fuel prices rose, partially rebounding from the reduction witnessed in June.
In June, Special 95, Super 98, and E-Plus all recorded price increases, while diesel prices also surged. However, despite these monthly fluctuations, the current prices remain considerably lower than they were last year.
During the course of the past year, UAE fuel prices have exhibited varying trends. While May 2023 saw the highest petrol prices of the year, June recorded the lowest diesel prices.
